Sparks Steak House New York City

This is a place I had heard of from a lot of people. Everyone recommended this steak house, saying that it is one of the best New York has to offer. Of course I had heard that John Gotti 'whacked out' Paul Castellano in front of the entrance many years ago. When you go in, you do feel like you are in movie like Goodfellas.

The service was very good. I ordered Brane de Brane from Margaux which was good value for money. The Californian wines cost at least 90-100 $ per bottle if you want something nice. You can get some good Bordeaux wines for a reasonable price. The steak was great. Perfectly medium all the way through. The steak itself was actually 400 grams which is a lot. We had potatoes and spinach with it. Spinach as a side dish would have been more than enough. It seems to be a popular place. We also saw Woody Allen and his wife sitting nearby when we had dinner there. Sparks Steak House is a place I would definitely recommend for good steak and for the atmosphere.
